Ernest becomes a camp counselor and takes a group of kids from an institution to Kamp Kikike. After a picnic with Nurse St. Cloud and the Chief, Ernest gets bitten by fire ants, but later saves the camp from being sold to Krader Mining company. Along the way, he faces challenges and receives medical attention from Nurse St. Cloud after being beaten up. Ultimately, Ernest's efforts lead to the camp becoming a year-round facility.
