Enid background

Enid

Enid Blyton, a young girl from the Edwardian era, escapes the turmoil at home by finding solace in her imagination, as her parents' relationship deteriorates and ultimately ends with her father being left behind.

Edwardian child Enid Blyton uses storytelling as an escape from her parents' arguments, and later, as a way to cope with her father's desertion. She becomes a successful author, sending her stories to publishers and marrying one of them, Hugh Pollock. However, Enid is a self-absorbed mother who prioritizes her writing career over her family, driving her husband to drink and infidelity.
