Biography

Joseph Fiennes is a talented actor, writer, and director with a diverse range of credits in feature films, television, theatre, and radio. His extensive work in feature films includes leading roles in nearly thirty films, such as The Amateur, Angel Has Fallen, Casino Royale, I Give It A Year, Dragonheart Vengeance, Two Neighbours, All The Devil's Men, Creation Stories, Tango One, Prancer A Christmas Tale, and many others.

In television, Joseph has had long-running stints in numerous shows, including The Last Kingdom on Netflix, Banished on BBC, 24 - Live Another Day on Fox, Holby City on BBC, The Sarah-Jane Adventures on BBC, Peak Practice on ITV, Campus on Channel 4, Moonknight on Marvel, Penny dreadful on Sony, Van Der Valk on ITV, Catch 22 on Hulu, Survivors on ITV, Ransom on CBS, and over forty other TV credits.

Joseph has also had an extensive theatre career, playing leading roles at the National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal Court, the Old Vic, Almeida, Donmar Warehouse, and most leading London theatres. He won the UK Theatre award for best performance in a play for The Rover at the RSC and has toured the USA with Peter Hall's production of As You Like It and Mill On The Floss. His portrayal of Macbeth at Shakespeares Globe was filmed and subsequently released in cinemas worldwide. He has also performed in West End musicals, creating the role of Raoul in Love Never Dies, starring as Mr Banks in the West End Mary Poppins, and as Garry in the hit revival of Noises Off in the West End.

In addition to his acting work, Joseph has appeared in over forty radio dramas and was nominated for the best actor award at the BBC Audio Drama Awards for his portrayal of George Orwell in The Real George Orwell. He has also written and directed several projects, including his first film as writer/director, 'Care', which was screened at festivals worldwide and won several awards. He is currently in post-production for his first feature film as writer/director, 'Signs Of Life'.

Joseph is also a busy writer, with an MA in screenwriting from Falmouth University of the Arts. His first book, 'Work - And other Four Letter words', was a #1 best seller on amazon, was longlisted for the 2022 Theatre Book Prize, and is available now.
