Mild-mannered paleontology professor Dr. David Huxley is on the verge of completing his life's work, a four-year project to build a brontosaurus skeleton. However, his plans are threatened by the arrival of the flighty heiress Susan Vance, who consistently undermines his efforts to impress her wealthy aunt, Mrs. Carleton Random. As David navigates a series of chaotic events involving a pet leopard, a traveling circus, and a cast of eccentric characters, he must confront the possibility that his true passion lies elsewhere.
