In the heart of the jungle, a boat carrying tourists encounters a group of naked Indians, armed with handmade weapons. But instead of hostility, the tourists are met with a surprise as the Indians suddenly don jeans and collect their daily wages. This thought-provoking film tells the story of the Guarani, one of Brazil's oldest indigenous communities, who are forced to live in a reservation. A small group of Guarani decide to leave their confinement and return to their ancestral territory, now inhabited by white settlers for generations. The resulting clash of cultures is woven together with mystical elements, featuring real Indian actors with no professional training.
