At the age of 9, Emil A. Fish's life took a devastating turn when he and his family were forcibly relocated to a concentration camp from their home in Bardejov, Slovakia, amidst the atrocities of the Holocaust.
The film Bardejov is based on the true story of Rafuel Lowy, a small town Jewish leader, who devises a plan to save his town's population from being sent to Auschwitz during World War Two.
