In 1962, Southern France, the Algerian war is nearing its conclusion. Teenagers Maïte and François share a close friendship, but François develops romantic feelings for Serge, who instead has a crush on Maïte. As Maïte prioritizes her political views over Serge's affections, she clashes with Henri, another classmate, whose beliefs are at odds with hers.
