Diamond, a Brooklyn-based rap musician, struggles to make a name for himself while navigating the harsh realities of his neighborhood. With his manager Gage, he tries to record a demo tape and pay the bills by running drugs for a local crime boss, Mr. B. However, Diamond's life is turned upside down when his mother suddenly passes away, his estranged father reappears after 12 years, and his girlfriend Kia reveals she's pregnant, forcing him to confront his responsibilities. Complicating matters further, Gage steals $100,000 from Mr. B to fund Diamond's music career, setting off a chain of events that threatens to destroy everything Diamond holds dear.
