In 1864, Montana Territory, U.S. marshals transport gold to Union Army forts in the East to aid the Union cause. Marshal Jim McDowell, tricked into marriage by entertainer Rose Sharon, investigates gold robberies and murders while being attacked by Sioux. His bride saves his life and earns his respect through further challenges.
