In a drought-stricken Taiwan, watermelons become a valuable resource, serving as a refreshing drink, a tasty snack, and even an aphrodisiac. Against this unusual backdrop, two characters, Hsiao-Kang and Shiang-chyi, cross paths in a high-rise building. Hsiao-Kang has left his days as a watch seller behind and now appears in adult films, while Shiang-chyi spends her time scavenging for plastic water bottles. Their meandering lives are punctuated by fantastical musical numbers, as they go about their daily routines.
