A young woman, Annie, moves to a California ranch with her husband and daughter, only to be abandoned when her husband fails to find work. With no money and no friends, Annie takes a job at a stud farm to care for her horse, Tolo, and her daughter. Despite her own struggles, Annie decides to enter Tolo into a high-stakes riding competition, but when the horse falls ill, Annie must overcome incredible odds to achieve her goal.
