Three friends, Pagalavan, Kesavan, and Sekar, lose their jobs in Chennai and team up with Das, a mastermind behind a lucrative kidnap for ransom scam. Their scheme flourishes until they cross paths with Arumai Prakasam, the son of the state finance minister, who stages his own kidnap to get funding for his business. Chaos ensues as the finance minister sends a strict, encounter specialist cop, Brahmma, to catch the culprits, leading to a series of comedic misadventures.
