Five years after their intergalactic adventure, a group of senior citizens return to Earth to help their alien friends collect the remaining cocoons in the ocean, which are threatened by an earthquake. While Ben and Mary reunite with their family, Art and Joe visit their friend Bernie, who's still struggling. As they readjust to life on Earth, they begin to feel their physical limitations, except for Art's pregnant wife. Meanwhile, a biologist company secretly steals a cocoon and conducts research on it.
