Juan Oliver, a new prison officer, reports to work a day early and is left unconscious in cell 211 after an accident. When he awakens, he must pretend to be a prisoner to survive. He forms a partnership with the violent leader of the riot, Badass, and together they navigate the chaos. However, things take a turn when ETA prisoners are taken hostage, sparking prison riots and demonstrations across the country. As the situation becomes more politicized, Juan finds himself on his own, forced to adapt to the changing circumstances and characters within and outside the prison.
