Al Capone, a small-time hood, arrives in Chicago at the start of Prohibition to serve as the bodyguard of racketeer Johnny Torrio. As Capone's power grows, he becomes embroiled in a world of murder, extortion, and political corruption, eventually rising to the top of Chicago's organized crime scene. However, his success is short-lived, as he ultimately meets a downfall that is both dramatic and humiliating.
