An American couple's relaxing Mexican getaway descends into chaos when the husband becomes embroiled in a murder investigation, forcing them to confront the dark secrets of their idyllic vacation spot.

Stella, a well-known painter's wife, is initially convinced of her husband's innocence after he's accused of murdering a waitress in Acapulco. However, when blackmailing sketches of the victim, created by her husband on the night of the murder, surface, Stella begins to doubt his guilt and innocence, further complicated by his recurring amnesia.
