On Valentine's Day 1988, a shy teenager Jeremy is rejected by four popular girls at a school dance, but finds comfort with a fifth girl. When bullies catch them, she accuses Jeremy of assault, leading to a brutal beating. In 2001, the same girls, now in their 20s, are dealing with their love lives when a pre-med student is murdered by a Cherub-masked killer. The girls start receiving threatening messages and suspect Jeremy, who has vanished. As they try to uncover the truth, they must stop the killer before becoming their next victim.
