Benita Ha was born in Hong Kong and made the significant move to Halifax, Nova Scotia with her family at a young age. As a young child, she developed a strong foundation in the English language by avidly watching her favorite television shows, Sesame Street and Mr. Dress-Up, and still possesses fluency in Chinese. By the age of six, Benita had already discovered her passion for acting and enthusiastically pursued theatre classes by the time she was 12. Her television debut was as a series regular in the esteemed Emmy Award-winning TV show, Street Cents, on the renowned Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). Following this milestone, she relocated from the Atlantic to the Pacific coast, venturing to Vancouver to further her television and film career. Her initial Vancouver role was on the iconic and critically acclaimed TV series, The X-Files. Since then, she has accumulated an impressive repertoire of principal, guest starring, and recurring roles in over 75 television shows across various streaming services, such as Netflix, Prime, CW, Hallmark, and Lifetime, as well as networks like NBC, ABC, and CBS. Benita's impressive filmography boasts over 25 feature films, including the notable titles When Time Got Louder, Good Boys, and X-Men: The Last Stand. In her free time, Benita prioritizes her well-being by regularly practicing yoga, meditating, and engaging in her favorite hobbies, which include reading, hiking, and cooking.
