Two childhood friends, Enzo and Jacques, rekindle their bond over their shared passion for diving. After a tragic loss in their past, they drifted apart until Jacques' unique abilities as a diver, which are monitored by scientists, catch the attention of Johanna, a young clerk who travels to Peru. When Jacques is invited to compete in a diving championship in Taormina, Sicily, Johanna invents a business trip to see him again. There, she reconnects with Jacques, who is now rivaling Enzo, the reigning world champion, and the tension between them puts both men in danger.
