Monster

Aileen Wuornos, a former prostitute from Daytona Beach, was driven to a life of violence as a result of years of abuse and exploitation.

Aileen Wuornos, a convicted serial killer, was executed in 2002 after being convicted of luring men to their death. In 1989, she befriended Selby, a young woman, while working as a prostitute. Despite trying to find legitimate work, Wuornos struggled due to her limited education and social skills, eventually resorting to hitchhiking along highways and robbing clients. After killing a client in self-defense, she began killing more clients for their money and cars. Wuornos was arrested and claimed self-defense, but was ultimately convicted.
