As Kate navigates the holiday season in London, she's struggling to find her place after a life-altering health crisis. She's become irresponsible and self-absorbed, exhausting her friends' goodwill and avoiding her overbearing mother. Working at a year-round Christmas store, Kate's boss, a woman who calls herself Santa, keeps her on due to past loyalty. Kate's true passion is musical theater, but her chutzpah-fueled delusions lead her to believe she'll succeed without effort. Her life changes when she meets Tom, who she initially rejects, but he persists and shows her a different side of London.
