In 1989, FBI agent John Buckner is tasked with transporting Huey Walker, a notorious hippie radical, back to jail. However, their train journey takes an unexpected turn when Walker outsmarts Buckner and they're pursued by authorities. As they flee together, they discover that their vastly different backgrounds and personas hide surprising connections.
