A German scientist, Professor Dohlman, dies and leaves a formula to reduce metal fatigue with his instructions to pass it to his brother's son. The formula is hidden in a handbag of a secretary, Diane, who is kidnapped along with her boyfriend. A private detective, Tom 'Duke' Martin, investigates the kidnapping and discovers that everyone is after the formula, which is believed to be in the handbag.
