A group of Allied prisoners of war devise a daring plan to escape from a German POW camp, using a clever ruse involving a fake prop to distract the guards.
Prisoners at a German POW camp suspect an informer is revealing their escape plans to the enemy after multiple attempts fail. To counter this, Lt. Ainsworth, an artist in civilian life, creates a decoy prisoner model to replace a fugitive during a march back from the camp's bathhouse.
