A heartwarming true story about a couple who form an extraordinary bond with a lioness, Elsa, whom they adopt and raise as one of their own.

Married couple George and Joy Adamson, senior game wardens in northern Kenya, adopt three orphaned lion cubs after killing a man-eating lion and its lioness. They raise the cubs as pets, but eventually decide to send two to Rotterdam Zoo, except for the smallest, Elsa, whom Joy has grown attached to. As Elsa matures, George and Joy give her more freedom, but she may get into trouble as a tame animal.
