A hunchback, living in a UCLA tower, becomes infatuated with a beautiful girl, Cathy, after witnessing her being pushed away by a man. When the hunchback attacks the man, he's taken into custody, but escapes and leads a trio on a chase to his tower. After a tumultuous period, the hunchback, now named Bob, makes amends with his roommate, Alex, and learns about life on Earth from professors. Despite arguments, their friendship is tested when Bob gets a call about Cathy being in trouble, only to discover it was a hoax.
