A young Hercules, eager to impress Zeus, embarks on a quest to retrieve a stolen treasure from his half-brother Ares. After losing the treasure, Hercules becomes despondent, but his mother Alcmene encourages him to attend a warrior academy led by the centaur Cheiron. There, he reunites with his friend Iolaus and meets Jason, the heir to the throne of Corinth. When Jason's father falls ill, Hercules suggests they seek the Golden Fleece, which may hold the key to his recovery. However, Ares is determined to thwart their efforts.
