Brooke, a physical therapist, and Nate, a classic-car restorer, are both attending four weddings in a row, each knowing either the bride or groom. They're both single and trying to avoid romantic connections, Brooke to focus on herself and Nate to recover from a past heartbreak. At the fourth wedding, they're part of the wedding party for their friends Ginny and Greg, who think they'd be a good match. Brooke and Nate agree to be "wedding buddies" to avoid awkward romantic situations, but as they spend more time together, they start to develop feelings for each other, unaware of each other's emotions.
