Lucifer, the original Devil, must relinquish his throne to James Burnett, who plans to revamp Hell's image and relocate it to New Jersey. Burnett, with his Advocate Richard Cooper and sidekick Tori, searches for a new home for the damned, while Lucifer, accompanied by his wife Eve and Advocate Judas, tries to thwart his plans and reclaim Hell.
