Biography

Jack Mulcahy is a renowned American actor, born and raised in the vibrant city of New York. His journey in the entertainment industry began as a lead vocalist and guitarist for various popular rock 'n' roll bands on the East Coast, showcasing his exceptional talent.

He made a significant mark with his early film success, starring in the iconic Porky's and Porky's II: The Next Day. As a working New York actor, Jack has had the opportunity to guest star in numerous films and television shows, including Sex & the City, Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, and Blue Bloods, to name a few.

A pivotal moment in Jack's career came in the spring of 1993 when he met writer/director Edward Burns while playing softball in the Central Park Softball League. They began discussing a story that Burns had written, called The Brothers McMullen, and Jack was offered the lead role as the conflicted eldest brother, Jack.

On a modest budget of $15,000, McMullen went on to become one of the most successful independent features in indie film history, garnering several prestigious awards, including the Grand Jury Prize for Best Picture of 1995 at Robert Redford's Sundance Film Festival and the Grand Prix for Best Picture at the 1995 Deauville Film Festival.

This incredible achievement was followed by Jack's starring roles in various indie features, including the slacker comedy, "Stuck In The Middle", which delighted audiences and received four-star reviews. Critics praised Jack's performance, stating, "Jack Mulcahy, as Leo, steals every scene in this crowd-pleasing comedy!"

Two years later, Jack won his first Best Actor Award for his hilarious portrayal of Lucifer in Joseph Pepitone's comedy, The Jersey Devil, released worldwide in 2015.

Jack's educational background includes being an alumnus of the prestigious Stuyvesant High School in New York City, where he graduated at the tender age of 16. He is also a member of the NY Local Board of Directors at SAG.AFTRA, a National Board alternate, Vice-Chairman of the National Low Budget Film Committee, member of the TV/Theatrical/Streaming Negotiating Committee, the SAGindie Committee, and Chairman of the Seniors Committee in NY.

In addition to his acting career, Jack is an all-around athlete and has been the Commissioner of the Performing Arts Softball League in Central Park since 2005.

Jack resides on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in the apartment that he has called home since birth.
