Martin Taylor, a former insider trader, is released from prison and returns to his family, only to find his wife Emily struggling with depression. She begins treatment with psychiatrist Dr. Jonathan Banks, who prescribes her a new drug, Ablixa. Emily's condition improves, but she soon starts experiencing sleepwalking episodes. One night, she stabs her husband to death while asleep and is sent to trial. Despite being declared not guilty, Emily is institutionalized, and Dr. Banks is tasked with evaluating her mental health. As Dr. Banks investigates the case, he uncovers a sinister plot in the stock market and discovers that Emily faked her suicide attempts.
