Return to Glennascaul background

Return to Glennascaul

A renowned director recounts a chilling Irish legend, inspired by a eerie encounter on a turbulent evening during a solitary drive through the Irish wilderness.

Orson Welles, taking a break from filming Othello, picks up a stranger with car trouble in the Irish countryside. The man recounts a strange encounter at the same location, where two women flagged him down for a ride to their manor. However, when he returned for his cigarette case, he found the manor deserted and decaying.
