Line of Demarcation background

Line of Demarcation

A tranquil Jura town is bisected by a river, serving as a tangible and metaphorical divide between Nazi-occupied regions and the liberated areas of France.

In a French village during World War II, a river serves as a demarcation line between occupied and free zones, with the Nazis shooting anyone who tries to cross. A crippled Count of Damville returns home to find his mansion converted into a German base and his wife, Countess Mary, living in a hunting lodge. Mary supports the French Resistance, while her husband is convinced France has lost the war. When British and American parachuters land in the woods, Mary helps them escape to Gibraltar.
