Detroit 9000

Police procedural movie set in Detroit during the early 1970s, where a group of masked men steal a fund of 400,000 dollars from a fundraiser for a black Congressman. The investigation is led by two cops, a white Lieutenant and a black Sergeant, who work together to gather leads and uncover the truth. Along the way, they encounter a high-price black call girl and her pimp-lover, as well as a mutilated body of a Native-American fence for stolen goods. The trail leads to a derelict church where the final shootout between the robbers and the cops takes place.
