Aske, a seventh-grader, longs for a peaceful life free from daily obstacles. He's got a crush on Jessica, and his best friend Oddyseus is being bullied by Glenn. Aske's strained relationships with his stepfather and stepbrother add to his woes. On his 13th birthday, he receives a ninja doll from Uncle Stewart, which holds the spirit of Japanese samurai Taiko Nakamura. The doll joins forces with Aske to avenge the death of a Danish businessman who brutally murdered a poor boy in a Thai sweatshop.
