In 1945, as World War II nears its end, British Captain Norwood assembles a six-man team for a reconnaissance mission to an abandoned airfield in Southern Germany. Their true objective is to retrieve American scientist Professor Hopper, who has lived in Germany for 25 years, and his research materials, including the development of an atomic bomb. However, they soon discover that the Nazis have formed a new militia unit, and the team must navigate the treacherous landscape, deciding who to trust. Meanwhile, Captain Norwood prioritizes the mission's completion, while Jack Wallace, a decorated war hero, grapples with the moral implications of war and the toll it takes on humanity, including his own visions of his daughter's fate.
