Paul Bronson, a recent college graduate, is lured to Chicago by gambler LeRoy Giles, where he becomes entangled in a love triangle with Dinah Jackson, a married singer, and LeRoy. After being framed for murder and nearly executed, Paul's fate is changed by a Chinese eyewitness, Ching Li, who testifies on his behalf. With his name cleared, Paul reunites with his love interest, Evelyn Martin, and they plan to start anew in Oklahoma.
