In 1938 Los Angeles, the manager of the Culver Hotel entrusts his nephew to run the hotel for the weekend, but things quickly spiral out of control when the nephew renames it the Hotel Rainbow and overbooks with an eclectic mix of guests, including royalty, assassins, secret agents, Japanese tourists, and the cast of The Wizard of Oz. Amidst the chaos, a Secret Service agent and a casting director discover romance amidst the intrigue.
