The Return of Dr. Mabuse

As Commissioner Lohmann prepares for his holiday, an unexpected phone call forces him back to work. An Interpol member has been murdered, and the head of an organization wants to establish contact with the Chicago gangster syndicate. But who is behind this mysterious plot? The trail leads to a penitentiary, where a series of gruesome murders unfolds. FBI Agent Joe Como joins the investigation, but Lohmann's trust in him is soon shaken. When a book found at the crime scene mentions the notorious Dr. Mabuse, Lohmann becomes convinced that this sinister mastermind is orchestrating the crimes.
