In the early 20th century, the wealthy and dysfunctional Hubbard family dominates their Deep South community. Regina Giddens, once part of the Hubbard clan, now seeks to manipulate her daughter to bring her estranged husband back home from Baltimore, where he is suffering from a terminal illness. Regina has a secret business deal with her brothers, Oscar and Ben, which may lead to a disastrous future for her daughter.
