The Burning Sea background

The Burning Sea

A catastrophic oil platform disaster in Norway sets off a frantic inquiry, but the revelations that follow only mark the beginning of a chilling and escalating calamity.

In 1969, Norway discovers a massive oil field in the North Sea, leading to a period of offshore drilling. 50 years later, environmental consequences emerge, including a crack in the ocean floor and a collapsing rig. A team of researchers, including Sofia, a submarine operator, rushes to search for the missing and investigate the damage, but they soon discover that this is just the beginning of a potential apocalyptic disaster.
