Astronaut John awakens from hibernation on the spaceship Odyssey 1, traveling to Titan, alongside Captain Franks and Nash. As they perform tests, John experiences disorientation due to the hibernation drug's side effects, causing him to forget his girlfriend Zoe Morgan's last name. As he sleeps and awakens again, he recalls memories of Zoe and Sam Napier, the mission leader. However, upon inspection, they discover a structural damage on the hull, sparking paranoia and concerns about the slingshot maneuver around Jupiter. Nash tries to convince John to alter the course, but Captain Franks intervenes and performs the maneuver successfully. After another hibernation, Nash appears hallucinated and sabotages the reactor, while John sees Captain Franks killing Nash. Upon waking, John is left questioning his sanity and the reality of Captain Franks and Nash.
