A lone woman, unable to hear, is confronted by a group of desperate outlaws seeking refuge in her isolated cabin, leading to a tense and thrilling standoff.

A young deaf woman, Mary, runs her family's motel, unaware that two crooks are using one of her cabins as a hideout. She meets one of the men, Barney, who is charmed by her and feels trapped in his life of crime. As they spend more time together, Barney tries to make amends and protect Mary, ultimately sacrificing himself to save her from his partner's violence.
