Aspiring writer Christopher is unexpectedly paired with Alexandra, a vibrant and outgoing woman, in their UCLA dorm room. Initially, Christopher is frustrated by Alex's carefree lifestyle and multiple romantic conquests. However, as they spend more time together, Alex helps Christopher improve his love life and writing skills. As they grow closer, Christopher and Alex fall in love, but their relationship is complicated by Alex's previous boyfriend, Slash, who returns and puts her name on a men's bathroom wall, ultimately leading her to realize she is happier with Christopher.
