Biography

Daniel J. Schneider, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, embarked on a remarkable journey that would take him from the streets of his hometown to the bright lights of Hollywood. As his Senior class president at White Station High School, Schneider demonstrated his leadership skills, a quality that would serve him well in his future endeavors.

Following high school, Schneider followed in his father's footsteps by attending Harvard University for a semester. However, he ultimately decided to return to Memphis and explore career opportunities in the computer industry. Simultaneously, he began taking classes at Memphis State University, where his life took an unexpected turn.

One day, while attending classes, Schneider was spotted by a movie producer who asked him to audition for a part. This chance encounter led to Schneider landing his first role in the film industry. He soon found himself relocating to Los Angeles, where he juggled a job as a pizza delivery boy with auditions for various roles.

In 1985, Schneider's big break came when he landed the part of "Ricky Smith" in the film Better Off Dead. This role, which he still cherishes to this day, continues to garner him recognition from fans who stop him on the streets to express their admiration.

Schneider's subsequent success led him to secure a role in the popular TV show Head of the Class, which he starred in from 1986 to 1991. After the show concluded, Schneider shifted his focus to writing and producing, a career path that has yielded numerous projects, including the hit shows All That, The Amanda Show, and What I Like About You, as well as the film Big Fat Liar.

Despite his success in the entertainment industry, Schneider remains deeply rooted in his hometown of Memphis, where he still maintains close ties with his family, including nine nieces and nephews. In recent years, he has expanded his professional portfolio by establishing a production company called Schneider's Bakery.

Throughout his journey, Schneider has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to his craft, a trait that has enabled him to achieve unparalleled success in the entertainment industry. His remarkable story serves as a testament to the power of perseverance and the importance of staying true to one's passion.
