Dr. Bill Matthews, a hospital doctor, recovers from being struck by lightning and discovers a mysterious group of people who have also survived similar electrocution incidents. As he gets to know the group, he learns they're all addicted to electric current, and he finds himself drawn to it too. His growing addiction and romance with Dr. Craig Murphy sets off a chain of events that takes a shocking turn.
