Eric Marsh, a frustrated firefighter, gets approval to organize a municipal-based Hotshot crew in Prescott, Arizona. He recruits new members, including Brendan McDonough, and trains them for the most dangerous fire fighting duty. The team, known as the Granite Mountain Hotshots, faces challenges and is tested in the 2013 Yarnell Hill Fire, which demands sacrifices and efforts.
