A middle-aged man confronts a turbulent array of problems, ultimately channeling his pent-up emotions towards his significant other.

A man named Donald Halston struggles with financial and personal issues, which leads him to cheat on his wife Janice. When Janice discovers his infidelity, Donald's behavior becomes increasingly abusive, causing Janice to become trapped in a cycle of domestic violence. Despite her friends and family's efforts to support her, Janice continues to stay with Donald, fearing the stigma of being a divorced woman. However, after one final violent incident, Janice finds the strength to leave Donald and start a new life.
