Biography

John Moxey's family had a thriving coal and steel business with depots scattered across the globe, with his father overseeing one of the firm's stations in Argentina, where John was born in 1925.

As a child, John was acutely aware that he was destined for a career in the picture business, a calling that would ultimately guide his life's path.

Following his honorable discharge from the service after World War II, the battle-weary veteran John Moxey began his journey in the film industry, starting out in the editing room and gradually working his way up the ranks.

John's first foray into directing was for British television, followed by a string of low-budget feature films in England and numerous television assignments in the United States.

Interestingly, John began using his middle name, Llewellyn, at the behest of a numerologist, a decision that would have a lasting impact on his professional and personal identity.
