In the movie, Hoppy disguises himself as a cattle buyer to infiltrate the Jordan brothers' outlaw gang operating in Oklahoma. Initially, he's met with hostility, so he, California, and Johnny orchestrate a cattle heist, driving the stolen livestock into Texas. Hoppy hopes the gang will cross the border to reclaim their property, allowing him to apprehend them.
